OnlineTuition.com.sg provides online tutoring in mathematics and science to learners preparing for their O levels, A levels or equivalents in 1 to 2 years time. This service is brought to you by SmartLab Education group (www.smartlab.com.sg), an education service provider based in Singapore, a country that has consistently achieved top ranking internationally for its students’ mathematical abilities. SmartLab currently runs 8 learning centres and a private school in Singapore. Our teachers hold professional teaching qualifications and are well versed with the Singapore, US, UK and GCE/IGCSE syllabi.

SmartLab was started in 1999 by a group of friends who studied in UK and returned to Singapore after graduating from the University of Cambridge and the Loughborough University with honours degrees in Mathematics and Engineering. Leveraging on their strengths in the mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts, they devised their own teaching system and started a SmartLab Centre in 1999.  The success and popularity of the first centre spawned further SmartLab Centres in Singapore, followed by the setting up of a full-fledged private school. 

Apart from developing proprietary educational materials and teaching methodology, and becoming early adopters of information technology to leverage on the experience of senior teachers, the company also developed its own teacher-training programme in partnership with University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Trainees who successfully complete the programme are issued with the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers.

SmartLab was named the winner of the Singapore Prestige Brand Award 2007, and its founder was awarded with the Spirit of Enterprise 2006 award.
